On 31st, May, 2018, a delegation of Humanity& Inclusion visited Nawa for Culture and Arts Association (NAWA). The delegation included: Silvester Kasozi, Field Coordinator, Matia Aranda, Reconstruction Specialist, Osama Hamdan, the manager of “Emergency Preparedness and Construction” project.
Ms. Reem Abu Jaber, NAWA Executive Director, Ms. Tahany Dalloul, Education Officer, and Ghada Al Haddad, Public Relations Coordinator, received the delegation. Ms. Abu Jaber briefed attendees on the association’s work in education, culture, arts and childhood sectors. Both sides also discussed future prospects of cooperation.
Ms. Abu Jaber also referred to the objectives of NAWA second strategic plan which was developed during the past year, and to the inclusive approach that NAWA tries to mainstream at all NAWA centers, through the adjustment of their centers, interventions and capacity building.
Mr. Kasozi explained that the education and culture sectors are also essential in the interventions of Humanity and Inclusion.
The delegation visited the new administration building, which is being built in partnership with Humanity and Inclusion and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
