Nawa for Culture and Arts Association (NAWA) has recently organized a recreational festival for the children on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr entitled “The Eid’s Carnival.” It was held on Tuesday June 27th, 2017 at NAWA’s playgrounds of Al-Bayyara and Al-Hakoora.
More than (200) children living in Deir El-Balah area have participated in the recreational event which began at 6:00 pm. The carnival included many activities like: the clown show, face painting, storytelling, singing folklore traditional songs, and holding cultural contests.
Mr. Salem Ghannam, the coordinator of Al Bayyara Playground, said that the main goal of this recreational day is creating an atmosphere filled with happiness and joy. He also thanked the playgrounds’ team for their tremendous efforts exerted for the success of this activity.
It is worth mentioning that the carnival comes as an integral part of a series of recreational activities implemented at Al Bayyara and Al Hakoora Playgrounds. Children along with their parents were overwhelmed with joy especially after joining most of the free playing activities. NAWA puts the children as a key priority in its activities to help them overcome all the mental traumas they went through.
