The Power of Culture confronting the Culture of Power
Formal and non-formal education Program
Non-formal education is all the structured and sustainable activities that do not fall within the Formal Education scope and satisfy the needs of people of all ages. Non-formal education contributes to supporting children psychosocially, developing their educational experience and helping to create new positive tendencies towards the increasing challenges and complexities in the Palestinian reality. Accordingly, NAWA:
• Hosts interactive science exhibits for children in the NAWA Gallery.
• Holds training courses in interactive sciences.
• Provides ‘formal and informal’ education services in Al Hekayat Kindergarten.
• Provides activities for children aged 4-6 in Al Hekayat curriculum, at all NAWA Centers.
• Implemented a program that supports teaching basic subjects for elementary school students through non-formal education activities.
• Holds training courses in non-formal education for educators.
