Culture is defined as all spiritual, material, intellectual and emotional attributes that characterize a specific society or a social group, and it includes arts, literature and ways of life. Culture also includes basic human rights, value systems, traditions, beliefs and culture that give a person their ability to think about themselves.
Arts are a type of culture; they are self-expression and not an expression of one’s life requirements. A person expresses his thought or conveys his emotions or what he sees in portraits and shapes. The Arts Program provides three interventions that focus on:
In response to the repeated Israeli aggression in Gaza, NAWA designed the Psychological Support Program because children need to be involved in quality educational and cultural programs to rehabilitate them
Non-formal education is all the structured and sustainable activities that do not fall within the Formal Education scope and satisfy the needs of people of all ages
NAWA conducts this Program to ensure achieving integration with all targeted groups and harmony in satisfying their needs; additionally, NAWA supports the role of parents in their capacity of the first teacher for their children
Due to the absence of official qualified and certified bodies that offer training in the field of non-formal education, NAWA seeks to build educators’ abilities and skills in this regard in a manner suited to working with children
NAWA designed the Institutional Efficiency and Financial Sustainability Development Program, and identified four points to direct the course of action to achieve and measure the positive change in its institutional efficiency and reach for financial sustainability as the following:
